Yellow Dock is a member of the buckwheat family, used as an astringent, for the lungs, emphysema, bronchitis, asthma, women's problems, haemorrhoids, bleeding diarrhoea and tubercular lungs. Also for treating diseases of the blood and liver, and venereal disease. It contains iron, phosphorus, vitamins A and C, and calcium. Yellow Dock also has diuretic and laxative properties. It is used for the blood, glandular system, eruptive diseases, skin conditions, brittle nails, bowel infections, peptic ulcers, and it stimulates the liver for bile production. Other uses include digestion, bloat, gout, arthritis, cystitis, water retention, urinary stones and gravel, eczema, psoriasis, and for pulling toxins from the tissues.
