Anxiety is a common emotion.  It is part of our normal reactions.  Fear, anger, sadness and happiness are part of these normal reactions too. 

Anxiety is very important in relation to our functions of survival.  It is only when the anxiety becomes extreme or prolonged that it can cause damage to health.
